PT Sun Life Financial Indonesia has won the Best Health and Wellness Interventions award at the 2024 HR Stars Awards, showcasing its innovative approach to employee wellbeing through its CTRL+Shift+BOLDER programme. This comprehensive initiative addresses physical, mental, and financial wellness, aligning with the organisation’s mission to help employees live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
The programme’s three-pillar approach demonstrates Sun Life’s commitment to holistic wellbeing. Physical wellness initiatives include fitness memberships, monthly cardio sessions, and regular medical check-ups, while financial wellness is supported through planning seminars and clinics. Mental wellness receives equal priority through hybrid working models, yoga classes, art sessions, and burnout management workshops.
Employee engagement has been exceptional, particularly through the Sun Community network of employee-led sports and entertainment clubs. This emphasis on inclusion has transformed wellness into a collaborative endeavour that strengthens workplace relationships.
The impact is evident in measurable outcomes: employee wellbeing scores increased from 86% in 2022 to 89% in 2023, surpassing global and regional averages. With 87% of employees accessing physical health resources and over 80% utilising mental and financial wellness support, the programme has maintained an impressive 92% Employee Engagement Index.
Through this strategic approach to wellness, Sun Life has demonstrated how investing in employee wellbeing drives organisational success, setting new standards in the HR profession.
