Digital transformation consultancy Temus launched its Step IT Up programme on January 26. This is designed to train future software developers with the skills needed in a competitive digital economy.
The programme is supported by Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority, under its Techskills Accelerator Initiative.
Step IT Up focuses on assisting people who have no prior technology training. It expects to have 22 trainees join Temus in March as full-time software developers from its pilot launch held in November.
“We believe that the success of any meaningful digital transformation depends on the capabilities of its people. This is why Temus aspires to support our customers to build a strong digital talent pool,” said Temus CEO KC Yeoh.
Other organisations will also be able to use Step IT Up to access a wider pool of non-technically trained individuals for their technology transformation plans. Trainees will go through a customised curriculum based on the organisation’s needs.
Applications for the next round of Step IT Up close on February 20.
