Case in Point: How Tiket.com enhances workplace transparency and morale

When Tiket.com identified the risk that low morale poses on employee performance, job satisfaction, and turnover, the company initiated the People To Meet (PTM) program.

PTM serves as a framework and digital platform to facilitate open communication among managers and employees. They can freely express their expectations and concerns, allowing HR to identify engagement issues and potential threats to company morale.

As issues are identified, HR and management work closely to address such issues. Relevant solutions have thus far included additional training for employees as well as new policies geared towards employee satisfaction.

Survey questions are also aired through PTM. For example, during its first 90 days, the company launched questions targeted at new hires to help them settle into their roles such as working tools and peer mentorship. At the one-year touchpoint, surveys revolved more around their perception of career progression. 

This allows Tiket.com to gain a comprehensive understanding of employees’ experiences at different stages of their tenure, and pivot accordingly by improving their experience and morale.

As a result of PTM, the company was able to lower turnover by 11.6% as fewer employees chose to leave the organisation. This reflects a more stable workforce and adds up to cost savings for the company. In addition, HR and management saw improved job satisfaction and work performance as employees gained a greater sense of ownership in being able to air out their concerns and witness the company take action.

As Chief People Officer Dudi Arisandi points out, “Words need to be followed by actions. When we say our people come first, we stand by that statement even in the toughest time.”
