David Syamtar brings over 11 years of HR expertise across consulting, retail, insurance, and manufacturing. With advanced degrees in HR and certifications like CMHR and CHRP, he excels in HR transformation, talent management, and aligning HR strategies with business growth.

Currently pursuing his doctorate in Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship at Prasetiya Mulya University, David’s passion for empowering Indonesian talent shines through his initiatives, such as his envisioned Leadership School.

Reflecting on his diverse career, David shares, “Consulting provided me with a comprehensive view of various organisations, enabling me to analyse and design HR frameworks while understanding the effectiveness of diverse strategies across industries.” These insights laid the foundation for his people-centric leadership, ensuring that HR strategies align seamlessly with business goals.

His time in retail was especially transformative, with its fast-paced nature sharpening his approach to talent management. “Retail taught me the importance of agility,” David says, emphasising how crucial this skill is in a constantly evolving business landscape. And in industries like insurance and manufacturing, he gained invaluable knowledge in “regulatory compliance, safety, and industrial relations.” This broad spectrum of experiences has made David a well-rounded leader, adept at balancing employee well-being with organisational objectives.

David’s dedication to empowering others isn’t just a professional duty—it’s a personal mission. He’s driven by the belief that everyone has the potential to grow and succeed, provided they have the right tools and guidance. “We identified high-potential employees and provided them with a structured development path that combined coaching, mentorship, and experiential learning,” David recalls of the Leadership Academy he spearheaded.

Embracing the future of learning, David pioneered a blended learning approach that seamlessly integrates digital and traditional methods. “The transition from traditional learning methods to a blended learning approach has proven to be a resounding success,” he explains.
