BetterPlace, one of Asia’s largest frontline workforce management platforms, has announced its acquisition of Troopers, a Malaysia-based talent solutions provider.

This move aims to strengthen\ BetterPlace’s gig fulfilment and Workforce-as-a-Service (WaaS) capabilities, while expanding its presence in Southeast Asia.
Troopers’ automated gig matching and rostering features will be integrated into BetterPlace’s platform, enhancing its comprehensive offering.
The acquisition follows BetterPlace’s majority stake purchase of MyRobin in Indonesia earlier this year.
Southeast Asia has experienced significant gig economy growth, with a 31% increase since 2017, making it a prime market for BetterPlace’s innovative solutions.
Troopers has already helped over 50,000 Malaysian gig workers find employment with its machine learning algorithm boasting a 95% matching rate between skills and opportunities.
The move also aims to transform the landscape of frontline work in Southeast Asia and address talent shortages and workforce productivity issues.
