Case in Point: How MindChamps teaches, immerses newcomers in company culture

When MindChamps recognised the importance of building strong leadership within their staff from the get-go, the company launched an alignment programme to immerse new employees or “MindChampions” into the culture, history, and philosophy of what the company stands for. 

Mindchamps Way Culture Training incorporates the 3-Minds (Champion, Leaning and Creative Minds), an integral part of the school’s own education model. It emphasises the company’s shared values and focuses on enabling new hires to understand the vision, mission, values, and attributes forming the foundation of the school’s excellence. 

Some of these attributes include “Setbacks as Setups,” valuing feedback as “Seed for Growth,” and appreciating the “Beauty in Others.” During the pandemic, as the company faced restrictions on physical gatherings, MindChamps embraced the setback as a setup by transitioning into online training sessions, Way Culture included. This kept all participants engaged and excited during that time, allowing them to leverage each other’s strengths and address feedback. 

In addition to the 3-Minds and 10 company attributes, Way Culture Training encourages participants to develop the entrepreneurial mind and be on the constant lookout for innovative strategies. Moreover, individual skills are recognised and catered with different learning and training opportunities so that upskilling is a constant element of the employee life cycle. This approach allows for all team members to be versatile.

On a quarterly basis, MindChampions are also engaged in skit competitions with performances that exemplify the MindChamps Way Culture and values. As a result, there is also greater bonding and smoother work interaction across departments.
