A recent survey by ResumeBuilder has indicated a skyrocketing demand for AI-skilled staff worldwide, with 91% of hiring employers seeking workers experienced in ChatGPT, an AI chatbot released in November last year.
Of the respondents, 11% were urgently hiring, while 19% were hiring “somewhat urgently”. Industries seeking AI-skilled staff included software engineering (58% of respondents from this sector were hiring), customer service (33%), HR (32%), and marketing (31%).
Business leaders hope to utilise ChatGPT-skilled employees to train other staff and save resources.
Meanwhile, a Gartner survey revealed 48% of HR leaders are finalising ChatGPT guidance. Singapore has also seen a 95% increase in AI-related job postings between March 2018 and 2023, according to job portal Indeed.
