In a tweet, the Elon Musk-owned company announced that its satellite internet service, Starlink, was now available in the Philippines.

Metro Manila citizens might have to wait a bit longer, however, as residential internet services are still unavailable there. According to Starlink’s website, Metro Manila is still on a waitlist, with residential internet services would be available within the first quarter of 2023.

SpaceX is partnered with Data Lake, Inc., which is owned by local business moguls Henry Sy Jr. and Anthony Almeda. DataLake will handle the distribution of Starlink services in the nation.
