The Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand have the fewest overall number of paid vacation days, of between 17 and 19 days per year.
This is based on an analysis by Resume.io, which looked into the laws covering annual statutory paid leave and paid public holidays in 197 economies.
The Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia also had the least paid leave days globally, at five, six, seven, and eight days respectively.
Resume.io defined paid leave as the “statutory minimum annual time off bookable” by an employee and vacation days as the total of paid public holidays and paid leave days.
