Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong says the government is looking into ways for employers to better uphold the revamped anti-discrimination act.
“We are taking actions with regard to legislation,” Wong said during the Singapore Perspectives 2023 conference on January 26. “And we will continue to see how we can encourage more employers to uphold not just the letter of the law but the spirit of it, to really promote more inclusive workplace practices and fairer employment practices across the board.”
He added that these policies cover discrimination and bias against sex, religion, race and age.
