When GrowthOps Asia began digging deeper into what truly drives company growth, the company arrived at its employees and the values of curiosity, connectedness, and commitment. Diversity and inclusion became a key point for enhancing these values, thus serving as the backdrop for a comprehensive five-point Employee Value Proposition (EVP).
The EVP is aimed at attracting, retaining, nurturing, rewarding, and celebrating talent within the organisation. The first point revolves around creating a welcoming environment for top talent that does not discriminate against background or any identity and also removes gender-based recruiting practices. Currently, 50.12% of the workforce are females, with a higher figure of 55.14% when zooming into the leadership team. These already surpass the tech industry’s average in gender representation.
The second point involves retention, and one strategy employed is that of making remote or flexible work options available. This allows the company to accommodate individuals with diverse backgrounds or circumstances. As each team member is entrusted with determining their ideal work arrangements, each one is empowered to deliver their best work. Most recent feedback shows over 85% expressing satisfaction over the level of flexibility provided by the company, while 91% expressed confidence in their managers’ support.
Nurturing, the third point in the EVP, involves investment in employee development and growth. The company has well-defined advancement programmes for long-term career development and keeps the door open for lateral job moves across departments. This allows employees to freely bolster their skills and expand their capabilities across the company, never confining them to single roles but encouraging them to explore new ways to be productive.
These all create a rewarding work environment for employees as they are recognised for their contributions and potential, and along this note employees are celebrated for their individuality and diversity. The yearly calendar is riddled with various cultural events and festivities, such as Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Hari Raya, and Christmas. GrowthOps Asia is also an active participant of International Women’s Day and LGBTQIA+ awareness through panel discussions, testimonials, and promoting safe conversations.
Meshed together, this five-point EVP champions cultural diversity, gender equality, and generational talent at GrowthOps.
“Each individual brings their unique culture and background, fostering a rich tapestry of cultural diversity within our organisation,” says HR Business Partner Jane Dizon, adding, “We embrace a multi-generational workforce, welcoming individuals of various age groups.”
