The younger generations, especially (millennials and Gen Z), is attracted to social platforms, from TikTok to Instagram, as a means of communication, connection, and knowledge-gathering. For HR, it can be the same and more – sharing benefits of a company as an employer, explaining crucial application and work development tips, and creating an influential account that enhances candidates’ careers.
HR can share this knowledge with its online audience strategically, in order to form a strong connection with these potential employees, as well as with potential stakeholders in the company. HR professionals on platforms such as TikTok can even act in a career-counsellor role, offering their personal experiences and their professional advice developed through their time at their companies.
Gamification for entertainment
Gamification is the process of incorporating game-like functions or features into technology. These features might include polls, a point system, digital rewards, or some kind of mini-game that takes the user through that technology system.
Gamification is incredibly useful at keeping people engaged and active on any platform, including in HR tech-related applications. HR professionals can apply gamification tactics to receive more engagement, attention, and even data from their employees in order to improve their user experience and simplify certain tasks.
