JobStreet, the Australian employment platform, has launched JobStreet Express in Singapore to help employers find semi-skilled workers. JobStreet Express focuses on the skills needed for a job, rather than the job title, allowing it to better match employers with prospective applicants. The platform aims to deliver relevant candidates to employers within two or three days of a job posting.
The semi-skilled segment makes up more than 40% of job vacancies in Singapore, and JobStreet Express is competing against several players in the space, such as FastCo in Singapore and Lumina in Indonesia.
“The semi-skilled segment has traditionally been underserved,” said Anshu Nahar, managing director of Express and Flex at Seek. “People in this segment often resort to unstructured and sometimes unsafe means to find jobs and talent.”
JobStreet Express is designed to be a more efficient and effective way for employers to find semi-skilled workers. Employers can post jobs on the platform and JobStreet Express will match them with relevant candidates based on their skills and experience. Candidates can also create profiles on JobStreet Express and search for jobs that match their skills.
JobStreet Express is still in its early stages, but it has the potential to revolutionize the way semi-skilled workers find jobs in Singapore. By making it easier for employers to find and hire semi-skilled workers, JobStreet Express can help to create a more inclusive and equitable labor market.
