Microsoft invests in HR technology provider Darwinbox

Microsoft Asia has made an equity investment in HR technology unicorn Darwinbox.

Darwinbox’s Human Capital Management (HCM) software-as-a-service platform operates on the cloud. It is used by more than 700 enterprises worldwide, covering more than two million employees.

The mobile-first platform already integrates Microsoft’s Office 365 and Dynamics platforms in HR transactions and experiences. Microsoft’s Power BI is likewise used to improve the HCM’s artificial-intelligence-based predictive analytics engine.

“We’ve always had the highest regard for the Microsoft brand and ethos. As we align on the joint vision of helping our customers unlock new levels of employee experience and productivity, we’re excited to co-innovate on multiple lines of IP development and take these solutions to our customers globally,” Darwinbox Co-founder Jayant Paleti said.

As a part of this collaboration, Darwinbox will adopt Microsoft Azure for enhancing its platform. The collaboration aims to accelerate joint go-to-market motions in all the markets the Singapore-based company operates in.

“In the new world of work, connected and energised employees are a competitive advantage for every organisation. We’re pleased to collaborate with leaders like Darwinbox to reimagine employee experience and enable HR teams with the power of technology,” Microsoft Asia president Ahmed Mazhari said.
