HR APPOINTMENTS: Here’s what’s new and who’s changing roles across the HR community in Southeast Asia.
Singapore-based financial institution Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) Asia Pacific recently appointed Jaspreet Kakar as its Managing Director, Head of Talent. Based in Singapore, Kakar oversees SMBC Asia Pacific’s talent acquisition efforts, performance management and learning and development.
Before joining the financial firm, Kakar served as insurance company AXA Philippines’ Chief Human Resources Officer, where he led a team of HR professionals to support the company’s 2,500-strong workforce.
Business analytics platform Qlik has named Serine Loh as its new Head of Human Resources for Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, Loh is responsible for implementing and providing the region’s full spectrum of strategic and operational support.
Loh brings over 18 years of multi-market and cross-vertical experience across global tech software, cloud marketing, and global integrated marketing communications. Before joining the Singapore-based firm, Loh served as Head of HR, APAC for enterprise automation company SS&C Blue Prism.
Elvira Moey joins outsource firm TDCX as its Senior Group HRBP Director. Moey leads the company’s HRBP and HR strategy efforts to attract and retain employees. She is also responsible for supporting the business in achieving high-performing teams while strengthening TDCX’s employee value proposition and experience.
Before joining TDCX, Moey was the social media platform Tiktok’s Regional HRBP Leader for Malaysia and Singapore. In this role, she led the firm’s HRBP and talent acquisition efforts.
