SINGAPORE: The National University of Singapore (NUS) has introduced a new master’s degree sponsorship scheme for staff which will allow them to pursue postgraduate studies at the university as means of upskilling and upgrading.
Under the NUS Master’s Sponsorship scheme, executive and administrative staff who have been employed with the university for at least three years, and fulfil other eligibility criteria, can apply for a full tuition fee sponsorship to pursue a relevant non-government subsidised part-time master’s programme offered by NUS.
The sponsorship award is bond-free. Admission is also based on merit, meaning NUS employees are subject to the same admission procedure and requirements as all other applicants.
“NUS is committed to fostering a strong culture of lifelong learning amongst our employees,” NUS President, Professor Tan Eng Chye said.
“The new NUS Master’s Sponsorship scheme complements our existing initiatives in empowering our employees to deep-skill and upskill at all stages of their professional life.”
