Singapore’s food services sector has unveiled a Jobs Transformation Map (JTM), designed to future proof the industry in the face of evolving consumer trends, increasing technology adoption, and a changing workforce.
Developed by Enterprise Singapore and Ernst & Young, the JTM was launched on 25 May 2023, with support from Workforce Singapore, SkillsFuture Singapore, and the Ministry of Manpower.
It aims to assist over 800 companies employing about 80,000 workers, through job transformations in line with the JTM.
The map provides pathways for employers to transform jobs and identifies the skills required by workers as job roles evolve.
It also outlines the impact of key trends on the sector and individual jobs.
The initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance productivity, motivate employee reskilling, and maintain talent in the food services sector.
