Approximately 71% of all clicks on jobs in the healthcare sector come from the Lion City, which came hand-in-hand with a 16% increase in healthcare job postings from January 2022 to 2023. The sector has been traditionally dominated by imported labour.

“The growing demand for healthcare professionals is a testament to the important role the sector plays in our society and the need to continue supporting its development,” said Florence Yip, senior manager for talent acquisition in Asia-Pacific at Indeed.

There was a 12% increase in job seekers searching for healthcare roles in Singapore from January 2021 to 2023.

This was not limited to the domestic market, as interest also came from Malaysians, Indonesians and Filipinos looking to work in the city-state.
