New initiatives to target Generation Z employability in Pasig City

In a bid to enhance youth employability in Pasig City, the US Government has teamed up with the Philippines Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Labor and Employment, and Public Employment Service Office to hold a knowledge-sharing forum.

Organised by USAID Opportunity 2.0, the event, called “PasiGen Z: In Leaps and Bounds,” brought together 74 representatives from various sectors, including government officials and young individuals, to emphasize the need for an adaptable workforce and strengthen multisectoral partnerships.

The nationals Young Entrepreneurship Program, aimed at encouraging youth engagement in the labor force and entrepreneurship, was showcased.

There were also high-level discussions on projects for youth employment opportunities, such as the Special Program of the Employment of Students and the Government Internship Programme.

Pasig City Councilor Simon Romulo Tantoco assured that the city government is collaborating closely with different sectors to support young Pasigueños’ employability.
