Best Digital HR Winner: Tech should improve employee experience

Proper technological know-how and availability of equipment—the pandemic taught plenty of organisations how important these are, and Tiket.com was no exception. Faced by unpredictable circumstances in terms of both business outcomes and human behaviour, it became clear to the Indonesian company just how big an impact digital technology can make.

Branding Officer Derrel Jeremias Marvianus shared that among the many uses of HR technology, it was the development of a vibrant engagement platform that really stood out for Tiket.com. By implementing technology, the company was able to gain insights that helped maintain morale, address engagement decline within the workforce, and identify areas of improvement which would alert even top management.

Tiket.com also has a People to Meet (PTM) program that allows managers and employees alike to communicate any expectations and concerns. With greater transparency came greater collaboration and engagement, which in turn led to improved performance and job satisfaction.

Also among the tech-driven improvements were their development initiatives. Upon discovering that more than three-fourths of the workforce wanted more growth opportunities in 2022, Tiket.com created over 70 training activities and promoted 18% of their employees within the same year.

The company continues to apply HR technology in providing additional training or support to employees, facilitating feedback surveys, and communicating new policies and initiatives.

“At the end of the day, we believe that all related HR and people technology usage should be intended to improve overall employee experience,” said Marvianus.
